Ellow didn't start in a boardroom.  It started in a bedroom. With a mother checking on her daughter through the night. 
THE MISSION

Ellow's entire purpose is to reduce the burden of overnight monitoring and give caregivers the rest they deserve.

For 11 years, Lauren Huff went to bed with the same fear: What if something happens while I'm asleep?

Her daughter, Ellie, has focal nocturnal epilepsy.  Her seizures happen at night.  Like many caregivers, Lauren spent years searching for something that could help her monitor Ellie while she slept and alert her if something changed.  
"I found baby monitors.  I found fitness trackers.  I found movement monitors.  But I never found exactly what we needed for an older child."
Ellie was deprived of oxygen at birth, resulting in a brain injury that changed the course of their lives forever.  Over the years, Lauren navigated therapies, hospital visits, developmental challenges, and epilepsy.  Like many families caring for a loved one with complex medical needs, sleep became something she never fully experienced.  
Every night brought the same questions:
  • Is she breathing normally?
  • Is her oxygen level ok?
  • Would I know if something changed?
  • Could I ever truly rest? 
The devices available either weren't designed for older children or adults, didn't provide the caregiver alerts needed, or weren't built with caregivers in mind.  Ellow was born from that frustration- and from a mother's determination to find a better way.  
So she decided to build it. 
Every feature, every design decision, and every conversation about Ellow begins with one question: Would this help a caregiver sleep a little easier?

Ellow is being developed as an overnight monitoring system designed to help caregivers stay informed while their loved one sleeps.

Worn on the arm or foot.  Continuously monitors oxygen and heart rate levels.  Comfortable enough for all night wear.

The Alert Orb

Sits on your nightstand.  Provides Immediate visual and audio alerts when thresholds are crossed.  No app required.*
